First Appointment

Depending on your referral pathway, you may be asked to provide a referral letter or supporting documentation.

Prior to your first session, a digital consent form and new client paperwork will be sent for completion. Paper copies can be provided on arrival if preferred, in which case we ask that you arrive a few minutes early.

The Initial Appointment

The first appointment is 60 minutes and focuses on developing a clear understanding of your concerns in context. This may involve exploring relevant history, current circumstances, and identifying goals for treatment. From this, a preliminary formulation is developed to guide future sessions.

It is common to feel uncertain or unsure about where to begin. There is no expectation to explain everything clearly or to know exactly what you need. The initial appointment is simply a starting point. The pace is collaborative and responsive, and you are not required to share more than you feel comfortable sharing at any given time.

Ongoing Sessions

Subsequent sessions are 50 minutes in duration. Frequency is determined collaboratively and will depend on your needs, goals, and circumstances.

Progress is reviewed regularly and sessions are adjusted as needed.

Confidentiality is maintained in accordance with professional standards and legal requirements. Further information is available on the About page.
