Clinical Psychology Services
For adolescents and adults seeking thoughtful, individualised psychological treatment.
You do not need a diagnosis or clearly defined category to seek support. Many people begin simply knowing that something feels off, overwhelming, or different to how they would like it to be. The initial focus is on understanding your experience in context and developing a clear, collaborative formulation to guide next steps.
Sessions are grounded in careful assessment and evidence-based practice, while remaining open and genuinely human. Conversations are reflective and honest, with space for depth, clarity, and humour. The aim is to create a setting where you can speak freely and think clearly, without judgement or unnecessary formality.
Treatment is tailored to the individual. Depending on your goals and circumstances, this may involve structured strategies, skill development, or exploration of deeper patterns and underlying processes. The work is adaptive, clinically informed, and guided by formulation rather than a one size fits all approach.
Individual Treatment
Therapeutic Approach
Evidence-based models tailored to the individual.
Clinical psychology training involves comprehensive grounding across a range of evidence-based therapeutic models. In practice, treatment is guided by formulation rather than strict adherence to a single approach. A range of approaches may be integrated depending on individual needs. The models outlined below reflect commonly used frameworks within treatment.
-
Schema therapy explores longstanding patterns that develop early in life and continue to influence relationships, emotional responses, and self perception. It integrates cognitive, behavioural, and experiential techniques to address deeper themes and recurring difficulties.
-
CBT focuses on the relationship between thoughts, emotions, and behaviours. It may involve identifying unhelpful thinking patterns, developing coping strategies, and building practical skills to manage distress and behavioural change.
-
DBT focuses on developing skills for managing strong emotions, improving relationships, and coping with distress. It integrates mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness to support meaningful and sustainable change.
-
ACT emphasises psychological flexibility. It supports individuals to clarify values, develop willingness toward difficult internal experiences, and take meaningful action aligned with what matters most.
-
Trauma informed work recognises the impact of adverse or overwhelming experiences on emotional regulation, self concept, and relationships. Treatment prioritises safety, pacing, and stabilisation while working toward integration and recovery.
Treatment remains responsive to how you present on the day. While structure and planning are important, the direction of work may shift as new information emerges or circumstances change.
The emphasis remains on clinically sound, adaptable treatment shaped around the individual rather than a one size fits all approach.
